LOK SHAKTI SAMITI

Notice: With effect from 1 September 2023, the CHILDLINE operations will be handed over to the district administration.

Lok Shakti Samiti is a non-governmental organisation working on social development issues in rural areas of tribal belt of Raigarh, Jashpur and Sarguja districts of Chhattisgarh, India. LSS is working through a number of strategic interventions in a highly challenging area. The area is witnessing rapid industrialisation, which is pushing the tribals and marginalised sections to the brink. The heavy industries gobble up land, water and forest, depriving the tribals and marginalised sections the very sources of their survival. The area is naxalite infested, challenging the very foundation of democratic civil society.
